Job Opportunity:

The Texas A&M University System invites applications for the Professor and Department Head position in the Department of Neuroscience. This is a 12-month tenured position located on Tarleton's main campus in Stephenville, Texas.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and support for the faculty and staff within the Department of Neuroscience.
• Collaborate with other administrators across the university to develop and implement the strategic plan for the college.
• Develop and implement a departmental strategic plan, working with departmental colleagues to implement it.
• Recruit and retain exceptional scholars and teachers in the department.
• Collaborate with colleagues to coordinate course offerings, share resources, and contribute to program development and improvement.

Requirements:

• Earned doctorate in Neuroscience or a closely related field from an accredited university.
• Distinguished record that warrants a tenured faculty appointment at the rank of Full Professor.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience building new academic programs and departments.
