About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Care and Clinical Equipment Coordinator to join our team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for ensuring the presence, functionality, and cleanliness of all necessary equipment in our Pediatric Emergency Department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to resolve equipment issues and maintain a high level of patient care.
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly audits of assigned equipment and patient rooms to ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines.
  • Manage inventory of procedure carts and restock as needed to ensure timely delivery of medical supplies.
  • Develop and maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory guidelines and industry standards.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, including vital sign collection, phlebotomy, and EKG services.
  • Assist with patient transport and preparation for meals and other activities as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Certified Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, or Patient Care Technician program preferred.
  • At least one year of PCT experience in a hospital setting required; Pediatric Emergency Department or Emergency Department experience preferred.
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong sense of accountability and teamwork.
  • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification required.
