Job Summary

Wilsonart is seeking a skilled Layup Specialist to join our team in Temple, Texas. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for creating paint and stain matches per customer specification, operating equipment, and performing other tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Vacuum off the table before the material is laid up.
  • Acquire the necessary material needed for each run.
  • Lay up the material for production.
  • Prevent any pattern defects, crumbs, or dirt in the material laid-up.
  • Count the patterns of each run delivered to the press.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of safety standards applicable to the work area and other pertinent rules/regulations governing work standards.
  • Knowledge of the material quality standards.
  • Knowledge of computer sufficient to enter data into system.
  • Ability to identify patterns and finishes.
  • Ability to operate a lift truck.
  • Skill in hand and eye coordination.
  • Ability to operate cut down table.
  • Ability to use a tape measure.
Minimum Requirements
  • 1+ years of work experience required.
  • Continuous physical exertion is required, such as walking/pushing/climbing lifting material or equipment of heavy weight.
