Diagnostic Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at a 100-bed acute care facility in eastern Ohio. As a Diagnostic Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations and maintaining accurate records of procedures performed.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician.
  • Maintain adequate records of procedures performed.
  • Select proper technical factors on an individual patient basis.
  • Position patients to optimize exam.
  • Select and operate equipment as directed.
  • Provide immobilization devices as required.
  • Teach or educate the individual patient and/or patient family on what to expect about the patient's examinations before the exams begin.
  • Consult with patient and/or others to obtain a complete clinical history; gather pertinent clinical data.
  • Develop film in accordance with established procedures and fill automizer when needed.
  • May transport patients to the department for procedures ordered by the attending physician.
  • Use proper sterile and aseptic techniques as required.
  • Practice safe Universal Blood and Body Fluid Precautions as per signed document at evaluation time.
  • Maintain records of examination data and other pertinent information on patients.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an ultrasound program required.
  • Preference given to sonographer registered with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or be registry eligible with the intention of becoming registered within a reasonable amount of time.
Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly rate between $28.24 and $42.50 depending on experience.
  • Shift differential of $1.15 for 3p-11p and $1.38 for 11p-7am.
  • Full benefit package.
  • 10K sign on bonus.
