Cryptologic Technicians work in a variety of settings, including shore commands, aircraft, and submarines. They may be assigned to work ashore or afloat, and may be required to travel.

Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, Cryptologic Technicians work a regular schedule and may be required to attend monthly drills and training periods.
