Job Title: Director of Health and Wellness

Welcome to Mira Vie at Montville, where we're seeking a dedicated Director of Health and Wellness to join our team. As a key member of our community, you will be responsible for overseeing the health and wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they receive the highest quality care and services.

Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct thorough health assessments on new residents and monitor their health status through regular assessments and care conferences.
  2. Supervise personal care staff, coordinate services, and promote the health and wellbeing of each resident.
  3. React immediately to suspected resident abuse, investigate thoroughly, and notify appropriate parties.
  4. Supervise Assisted Living and Memory Care personnel, including hiring, coaching, orientation, scheduling, and training.
  5. Perform verbal and written disciplinary actions, ensure documentation meets company policies, and communicate employee relations issues to the Executive Director.
  6. Attend daily management meetings, staff meetings, and other meetings as delegated by the Executive Director.
  7. Conduct community audits, review operational systems, and ensure community security.
  8. Review incident reports, conduct investigations, and report/plans corrective action as required.
  9. Work with the Executive Director to ensure Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities in the building.
  10. Ensure employees work in a safe manner, comply with Safety Committee Standards, and manage workplace injuries.
  11. Foster teamwork, show initiative, and have a positive impact on coworkers, residents, and visitors.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma Required.
  • Licensed or Registered Nurse required and/or state specific accreditation.
  • 2+ years of experience as an LPN or RN; one year in home health, assisted living, or long-term care preferred.
  • 1+ years of nursing management experience to include hiring, coaching, performance management, scheduling, and daily operations supervision.
  • Experience in tracking, trending, and analyzing clinical performance data preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, strong teamwork skills, and positive community relations skills.
