Leadership Opportunity in Nursing


The Laurels of Chagrin Falls is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to fill the role of Assistant Director of Nursing. As a key member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing and helping to plan, coordinate, and manage the nursing department.


Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure the current licensure and credentials of nursing employees are verified.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to schedule and perform guest rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and suitability of nursing care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date charting and documentation of care and medications.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the written staffing plan and nursing schedule that reflects the needs of our guests.
  • Participate in the budget process and help maintain the nursing supply, equipment, and nurse staffing budgets.
  • Stay current with applicable managed care, Medicare, and state Medicaid regulations, reimbursement systems, and methodology.
  • Assign responsibilities to associates, taking into consideration guest safety and the educational preparation, experience, knowledge, and ability of the persons to whom the duties are assigned.

Requirements:



  • Registered nurse, RN with management or supervisor experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
