The routes provided to the Bus Driver are pre-determined by the Psychosocial Rehabilitation Directors and are subject to changing depending on need. Responsibilities and Duties:- Safely and Efficiently Operate a Shuttle Van: Safely and efficiently operate a shuttle van to transport passengers to and from designated locations.
- Practice Proper Time Management: Practice proper time management to complete tasks and keep bus schedule on schedule.
- Provide Excellent Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by ensuring a comfortable and pleasant experience.
- Communicate Effectively: Communicate effectively with passengers and guardians to provide information about routes, schedules, and any other relevant details, and addressing their concerns.
- Maintain a Professional Demeanor: Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
- Assist Passengers with Disabilities: Assist passengers with disabilities in boarding and exiting the bus as required by law.
- Adhere to Traffic Laws: Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving the CTS van.
- Maintain Cleanliness and Appearance: Maintain cleanliness and appearance of the CTS van.
- Ensure Passenger Safety: Ensure passengers are seated safely and secure their belongings.
- Enforce Safety Rules: Enforce safety rules and regulations, including the use of seat belts.
- Conduct Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus to identify any maintenance issues or safety concerns.
- Resolve Simple Mechanical Problems: Resolve simple mechanical problems that may occur unexpectedly.
- Report Maintenance Needs: Report any mechanical problems or maintenance needs to the appropriate authorities.
- Keep the Bus Clean: Keep the interior and exterior of the bus clean and well-maintained.
- Respond to Emergencies: Respond calmly and effectively in case of emergencies, such as accidents or breakdowns, and follow established emergency procedures.
- Evacuate Passengers Safely: Evacuate passengers safely in emergency situations.
- Complete Required Reports: Complete required reports, such as incident reports, maintenance logs, and time sheets, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Report Accidents and Incidents: Report any accidents, incidents, or safety violations to the appropriate authorities.
- High School Diploma: High school diploma, or equivalent.
- Valid Driver's License: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Age Requirement: At least 21 years old.
- Previous Experience: Previous experience as a shuttle driver, limousine driver, or delivery driver is preferred.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish.
- Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide outstanding customer service in a professional manner.
- Knowledge of Local Roads: Knowledge of local roads, routes, traffic patterns, traffic laws and regulations.
- Maintenance Knowledge: Possess basic maintenance knowledge.
- GPS Navigation: Ability to read and follow GPS directions.
- Ability to Drive: Ability to drive a vehicle for most of the shift and carry out most maintenance requests when necessary.
