Job Summary

The Senior Electrical Designer II is a key member of our design team, responsible for creating and developing electrical systems for various projects. This role requires strong technical skills, knowledge of electrical design software, and the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers and other team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and specifications for various projects.
  • Work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure compliance with industry codes and standards.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and drafters.
  • Design custom/semi-custom products to meet customer electrical specifications.
  • Produce print-to-point wiring diagrams from control schemes.
  • Check wiring diagrams for accuracy and completeness.
  • Gain familiarity with electrical design and circuitry.
  • Gain familiarity with industry codes and standards.
  • Create basic design drawings with assistance.
  • Update drawings per engineering and/or customer markups with direction from engineering personnel and transmit drawings to shop and customer.
  • Complete "As Built" drawings to learn about drawing packages.
  • Attend in-house and outside training sessions.
  • Learn policies and procedures, work instructions, ISO policies, Safety Rules and Regulations, and vendor products.
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience in an Engineering/Designing role.
Skills, Abilities & Other Requirements
  • Basic computer skills using Oracle, Word, Excel.
  • Ability to order material electronically.
  • Basic drafting/CAD skills.
  • Able to read and interpret electrical symbols, characters, and drawings.
  • Able to apply NEC, ANSI, and Other as it applies to the day-to-day activity.
