Position Summary

This role is essential for overseeing the Analytics & Reporting functions, collaborating closely with both onshore and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive the formulation and execution of data engineering and analytics strategies that enhance decision-making and performance across the bank.
  • Supervise the creation, execution, and delivery of detailed reports and dashboards utilizing tools such as Cognos, Tableau, and Qlik Sense, ensuring data precision and actionable insights.
  • Manage the complete analytics process, encompassing data collection, processing, analysis, and insight generation to support strategic planning and operational enhancements.
  • Lead a team of data analysts and engineers, offering mentorship and growth opportunities to maintain high performance and expertise in data science.
  • Work in partnership with IT, business units, and senior leadership to identify ways to leverage bank data for innovative business solutions.
  • Guarantee the integrity, confidentiality, and security of all data assets, reports, and analytics tools in alignment with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Champion the assessment and integration of new technologies and methodologies in data engineering and analytics to improve the bank's data capabilities.

This position demands a dynamic individual with a positive attitude, capable of multitasking and contributing effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:
  • At least 10 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Reporting, and Analytics, with direct development experience.
  • Demonstrated success in leading data engineering teams within the banking or financial services sector.
  • Extensive proficiency with BI tools including Cognos, Qlik Sense, and Tableau.
  • Strong SQL background, with over 7 years of experience using SQL Server and Oracle databases.
  • Expertise in Unix Shell scripting, with a minimum of 7 years of experience.
  • Familiarity with database management, data analysis, and report generation methodologies.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies and project management tools such as JIRA.
  • Experience in data modeling and tools like Erwin Data Modeler.
  • Proficient in job scheduling software, preferably Cybermation Job Scheduler.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective data engineering solutions.
Skills:
  • 10+ years of expertise in Cognos, Qlik Sense, and Tableau for advanced data visualization and reporting.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing Cognos Data Framework Manager.
  • 8+ years of advanced SQL skills and experience with SQL Server & Oracle databases.
  • Proficiency in Unix Shell scripting for data processing and automation.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on mentoring and talent development.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, effective in cross-functional team environments.
  • Knowledge of data privacy and security principles, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and decision-making abilities, driven by data insights.
  • A continuous learning mindset, staying abreast of the latest technology and data management trends.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Compensation:

The anticipated annual salary for this position ranges from $110,000 to $150,000 at the commencement of employment. Salary offers are determined on an individual basis, considering factors such as skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our comprehensive rewards package includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness programs, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
