Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center is seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work with our talented chefs to create exquisite desserts and pastries that exceed our guests' expectations.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food.
  • Wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables.
  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients.
  • Prepare and cook food according to recipes, quality standards, presentation standards, and food preparation checklist.
  • Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers.
  • Test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently.
  • Monitor food quality while preparing food.
  • Set-up and break down work station.
  • Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of related work experience.

Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year.
