Overview: The role involves ensuring that both private and public areas of the hotel are kept in pristine condition, adhering to brand standards and operational policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Stock cleaning carts with necessary supplies and fresh linens.
  • Clean assigned guest rooms, which includes making beds, sanitizing bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, and disposing of trash.
  • Change and restock bed linens, towels, and other guest amenities as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness in designated areas such as restrooms, public spaces, and meeting rooms.
  • Report any maintenance issues or missing items to management promptly.
  • Respond to guest requests and ensure their satisfaction with a courteous approach.
  • Participate in pre-shift meetings to understand daily tasks and assignments.
  • Perform deep cleaning tasks as necessary, including flipping mattresses and moving furniture.
  • Execute guest turn-down service when required.
  • Complete all assigned tasks within the expected time frame.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with housekeeping operations and procedures.
  • Understanding of cleaning chemical usage and storage.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment such as vacuums and commercial laundry machines.
  • Ability to communicate in English.
  • Strong prioritization skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in hospitality housekeeping is preferred.

Physical Demands: This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, with the ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally. Work is primarily indoors in a controlled environment.

Other: Housekeepers must be flexible with their schedules to meet the operational needs of the hotel, including availability on weekends and holidays. Consistent attendance is crucial for success in this role.
