Position Overview

Role Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care aimed at ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. This role involves preparing necessary equipment and assisting physicians during medical examinations and treatment procedures. The RN administers prescribed medications, performs dressing changes, cleans wounds, and monitors vital signs of patients.

The RN plays a crucial role as a primary nurse, associate nurse, team member, or team leader in the planning and execution of patient care strategies. This position requires directing and supporting safe aseptic techniques and procedures. The RN also provides leadership and guidance to all support staff within the department.

A6 is a specialized 27-bed Cardiac Telemetry Stepdown unit dedicated to the care of cardiac patients requiring medical management. Our team is committed to delivering exceptional patient care alongside outstanding customer service.

Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care.
  • Preferred one year of nursing experience.
  • Possession of a current Texas State RN License.
  • CPR certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ACLS certification required within six months of hire or transfer.
  • EKG certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
