About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team as a school health specialist. As an LPN in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to students in public schools throughout Virginia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the care of students with chronic health conditions by coordinating with healthcare providers, teachers, and parents.
- Provide 1:1 support to students with complex needs, including g-tube, trach, catheter, diabetic management, and seizure precautions.
- Monitor and manage immunization records to ensure compliance with state regulations.
- Administer first aid and emergency care for injuries or sudden illnesses.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and drills.
- Maintain accurate and confidential health records.
- Communicate with parents regarding their child's health status, concerns, and recommended follow-up care.
Requirements:
- VA state nursing license.
- CPR/BLS certification.
- Current negative TB result.
