Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Merchandising Layout Specialist to become a vital part of our team. This role involves providing extensive support to the Category Advisor in executing the strategic objectives of our Walmart Buying team partner. Responsibilities include the design and layout of merchandising plans, maintaining Style Guides, managing content, and overseeing foundational item coding and upkeep. A strong understanding of the apparel industry is essential, along with a proactive attitude to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate will possess a collaborative spirit, attention to detail, and robust analytical capabilities. They should be adept at crafting narratives from data to extract key insights and have the ability to influence outcomes effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Planogram Execution: Implement the vision of the Category Advisor for merchandising design and layout. Ensure that planogram content is precise, timely, and aligns with necessary floor and promotional setups. Utilize store clusters to develop specific planograms tailored to store groups.
  • Content Quality Management: Create, maintain, and enhance the category Style Guide. Ensure consistent, high-quality content that boosts conversion rates and drives sales.
  • Website Analysis: Conduct site evaluations of Walmart and key competitors to gather shopper insights aimed at enhancing the shopping experience. Document and share content best practices to improve quality scores.
  • Category Reporting: Input, maintain, and refine item-level coding files that facilitate category reporting. Ensure that the underlying infrastructure for the Category Advisor's tools is current to maximize efficient and accurate analytics.
  • Competitive Insights: Link item-level coding to Walmart Circana ALR data to enhance opportunities for syndicated data analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Business, Data Analytics, or Computer Science.
  • Familiarity with the apparel market and competitive landscape.
  • Experience with Space Planning Software (Blue Yonder preferred).
  • Knowledge of Search Engine Optimization (SEO).
  • Proficiency in Content Management and Website Analytics Tools.
  • Prior experience in retail is advantageous.
  • Data Analytics experience is preferred but not mandatory.
