Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop audiovisual systems, including pathway drawings, audiovisual plan drawings, systems single line drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other design team members to ensure coordinated design efforts.
  • Develop efficient and accurate solutions to design problems.
  • Research and prepare coordinated design options.
  • Review drawings and research codes and standards issues to comply with city, state, county, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate with manufacturers and contractors to address challenges and develop practical designs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Audio Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or Information Systems.
  • 5 years of experience in audiovisual design or a related field.
  • Strong working knowledge of Building Information Modeling (BIM) software, particularly Revit MEP.
  • Ability to prepare detailed design drawings with supervision.
  • Ability to integrate design elements with architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and other disciplines to deliver a coordinated design.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems for the built environment.
  • Basic knowledge of applicable codes and standards, including ANSI/TIA, AVIXA, and BICSI best practices.

  • Competitive salary range: $88,000 - $127,600 (CO, HI, MD) or $94,400 - $136,900 (CA, WA, DC).
