About the Role:
">- This position involves leading efforts to ensure the security and integrity of connected products, vehicles, and services at Honda North America.
As a Product Cybersecurity Analyst, you will assess potential cybersecurity risks, vulnerabilities, and threats associated with our connected products throughout their lifecycle. Your expertise in cybersecurity, risk assessment, and product development processes will be instrumental in developing and maintaining secure and resilient products, protecting customers, and maintaining their trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cyber Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
You will conduct comprehensive security assessments of our products, analyzing potential risks, vulnerabilities, and threats throughout their lifecycle. This includes identifying security gaps and recommending effective controls, processes, and technologies to mitigate risks.
Additionally, you will develop risk mitigation strategies and provide recommendations to product development teams to minimize potential risks and improve overall product security. You will also perform risk assessments to identify potential cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilities associated with the product.
Cross-functional Collaboration:

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product development, engineering, and quality assurance, to ensure security measures are integrated into the product lifecycle. This includes collaborating with product managers and development teams to ensure security requirements are integrated into product specifications and design processes.
Application Security Management:

You will support incident response activities related to product security incidents, working closely with the incident response team to investigate and remediate incidents. Additionally, you will know the organization's operational technology security standards and list the applications used in the organization to support product security and privacy.
Data Privacy:

You will analyze the impact of identified risks on the product's security, integrity, and customer data. You will utilize privacy standards when sharing, accessing, and storing data, and use software and hardware systems to protect product data.
Cybersecurity Governance:

You will define and document product security requirements, aligned with industry standards, regulatory frameworks, and best practices. You will also research new cybersecurity requirements and their implications on the organizational environment.
Cybersecurity Standards and Policies:

You will contribute to the development and enhancement of incident response playbooks and procedures specific to product security incidents. You will follow efficient and effective auditing and compliance reporting and provide feedback for improvement of procedures and policies.
Work Environment:
- The work environment is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week spent at the Honda office in Marysville, OH.
Education and Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, along with 12 years of demonstrated functional work experience related to product cybersecurity.
Salary and Benefits:
The estimated salary for this position is around $140,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.
