We are seeking a skilled Perinatal Nurse Specialist to join our team at St Anthony Hospital. As a key member of our L&D and Postpartum departments, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our unit.

About the Role

This 12-hour shift position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration. Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently in all areas of care, demonstrate strong skills, and provide exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care in L&D and Postpartum units, ensuring high-quality outcomes and exceptional patient satisfaction
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans
  • Conduct thorough assessments, identify patient needs, and develop effective interventions
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent required
  • Oregon License Required; can apply for the OR 90 Day Emergency License
  • Experience working in Labor and Delivery (L&D) and Postpartum settings
  • Strong skills in Pitocin induction/augmentation and insulin drips, Mag Sulfate, and central monitoring for fetal strips
  • Able to read and analyze complex data, make sound judgments, and take decisive action
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions, navigate multiple priorities simultaneously, and maintain composure under pressure. You will also be expected to participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date with best practices and industry developments.
