Electrical Maintenance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at ArcelorMittal's Calvert facility. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our Cold Rolling Mill by troubleshooting and maintaining industrial process automation systems, motor control, and low-voltage and medium-voltage distribution systems.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and maintain industrial process automation systems, including PLCs, HMI systems, and communication systems.
- Perform maintenance and repairs on motor control systems, including VFDs and motor control centers.
- Ensure the reliability of process instrumentation, including conductivity, pH, flow, temperature, and pressure sensors.
- Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFAs) and execute Corrective Actions (CAs) to mitigate future occurrences.
- Develop and review Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedures to ensure equipment reliability.
- Conduct maintenance activities using SAP software, including notifications, work orders, and spare parts management.
- Train and mentor maintenance technicians and operations team members.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Associate degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience with electrical maintenance in an industrial environment, preferably in a steel mill.
- Competencies in multiple programming platforms, including ladder logic, function block, and textual/statement list logic.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, including Outlook, Excel, Teams, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with boilers, acid regeneration, air compressors, and cooling circuits.
