Job Summary

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist PRN to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacist PRN, you will play a critical role in providing safe, efficient, and patient-centered medication services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify medication orders and dispense medications accurately according to state and federal regulations.
  • Document services in a complete, accurate, and timely manner.
  • Contribute to medication safety initiatives and utilize available technology proficiently.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations are in compliance with national accreditation standards.
  • Maintain professional interactions with patients and facilitate successful patient experiences.
  • Direct staff to provide safe and efficient care and maintain professional working relationships with caregivers.
  • Promote a positive work environment and provide constructive ideas and feedback to improve services and the department.
  • Educate and train students, residents, other caregivers, and patients.
  • Provide cost-effective care and adhere to drug use policy.
  • Utilize time and resources effectively and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • PharmD or Bachelors of Science degree in Pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy.
  • Current State licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current State within 90 days of hire.
  • Board Certification
  • Completion of a post-graduate year 1 residency (PGY1), fellowship, or 2 years of relevant post-graduate pharmacy experience required.
  • Post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) or relevant experience preferred for Clinical Pharmacists hired in a Specialized Pharmacy practice area.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform the job while standing and walking for prolonged times.
  • Manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer and dispensing functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Normal or corrected vision.
  • Ability to clearly communicate verbally.
