Job Title: Skilled Nursing LPN Charge Nurse

Join the Good Samaritan Society - De Smet team as a Skilled Nursing LPN Charge Nurse and take on a leadership role in providing high-quality care to our residents. As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for formulating care plans, providing nursing care, and observing and documenting resident conditions.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals
  • Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications and treatments
  • Monitor and document resident conditions, including vital signs and medication administration
  • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records
  • Ensure timely notification and processing of physician orders
  • Respond promptly to resident call lights and address their needs in a timely manner
  • Direct and assist with resident and family education on condition changes and care
  • Comply with all related laws, regulations, company policies, and procedures
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Licensure for state of practice
  • Current BLS certification
  • IV proficiency
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both orally and in writing
