We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer who will take charge of providing technical direction to our IT development team. In this capacity, you will manage the technical architecture and execution of mid-range software development, with an emphasis on web services and applications.

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Java programming within a service-oriented architecture utilizing Spring Boot
  • At least 3 years of experience in Application Programming Interface (API) frameworks, RESTful development, and web services development, particularly in mid-range environments
  • Proven experience in delivering software solutions to cloud platforms such as Azure, IBM Cloud, AWS, and Google Cloud
Distinctive Aspects of This Role:
  • Comprehensive understanding of current industry best practices and trends in data frameworks and management, including SQL/non-SQL, In-memory Cache, and SSD technologies
  • Acquaintance with cloud frameworks, content delivery network architecture, web services design, rules engine design, and software optimization methodologies
Essential Job Functions:
  • Collaborate with product management, developers, and architectural teams to define strategies and requirements
  • Propel high-level strategic initiatives and secure commitment from internal and external teams for new projects
  • Lead cross-functional application teams from design to delivery by establishing timelines and technical strategies
  • Implement best practices in software engineering for web applications and services
  • Provide technical mentorship to the team working on both custom and off-the-shelf web applications and services
  • Establish development and deployment standards in partnership with Application/Enterprise Architects
  • Mentor and foster the professional development of junior team members
