We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Campus Dining Driver to join our team at New York Institute of Technology. As a Campus Dining Driver, you will be responsible for delivering food, beverages, and non-food items to dining locations and buildings within and outside our Long Island and NYC campuses.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver food, beverages, and non-food items to dining locations and buildings within and outside our campuses.
  • Manage daily catering deliveries, ensuring all necessary event items are loaded on the truck before delivery.
  • Read and understand instructions noted on Banquet Event Orders (BEOs).
  • Complete logs and other necessary documentation with the direction and supervision of the Campus Dining management team.
  • Assist in receiving and storing deliveries, as well as upholding organization and inventory of paper goods, plasticware, and other items required for catering.
  • Notify the Campus Dining management team when inventory of items or equipment is low or damaged.
  • Train and develop part-time drivers in the proper delivery policies of the Campus Dining Department.
  • Manage Campus Dining laundry drop off/pick-up.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent, plus one to two years' experience in a commercial kitchen setting, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.
  • Possess a clean and valid Class A NYS Driver's License.
  • One year food service/beverage delivery experience.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and lift an average of 35 pounds repeatedly.
  • Ability to perform basic math skills.
