Job Summary

CMU Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Mid-Level Healthcare Provider to join our team in the Endocrinology department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations and diagnostic tests, to identify and address clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized patient care plans, in collaboration with attending physicians and other healthcare professionals.
  • Prescribe and recommend medications, treatments, and other interventions to promote optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients on healthy lifestyle choices, disease management, and wellness strategies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care and coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner educational program.
  • National certification from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
  • Unrestricted licensure to practice in Michigan or ability to obtain licensure.
  • Current ACLS and PALS certification or planned attainment.
  • Excellent practice history and ability to secure liability insurance.
  • Valid CPR certification, including American Red Cross: BLS for Healthcare Professionals or American Heart Association BLS.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with Electronic Medical Records and computer systems.
  • One year of experience in endocrinology or a related field.
