Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct a variety of assignments involving independent evaluations using established techniques and criteria, applying judgment to make minor adjustments as necessary
  • Prepare and review preliminary reports
  • Examine project plans and specifications developed by others
  • Participate in client site meetings
  • Effectively communicate with clients and project teams
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide training to technicians
  • Oversee project management, technician supervision, and review of field and laboratory data
  • Work regularly in both field and laboratory settings
  • Adhere to safety practices and policies to ensure personal and team safety
  • Operate testing equipment and conduct assessments, such as soil and concrete testing, providing detailed reports on findings
Qualifications for Success:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is required
  • Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree is highly preferred
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in construction materials testing or geotechnical engineering is preferred
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification is required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work off shifts and overtime as needed
  • Occasional travel may be required
  • Valid Driver's License and a reliable driving record are mandatory
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to frequently lift, move, push, and pull weights between 30 to 50 pounds; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance
  • Capability to kneel and squat occasionally
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to climb and work at heights occasionally
