Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse II to join our team at Southeast Health. As an LPN II, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our medical/surgical and behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses in data collection to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for medical/surgical and psychiatric patients.
- Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care.
- Perform various activities related to the needs of adult and geriatric patients in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
- Actively accept, understand, and practice appropriate standards of medical/surgical and psychiatric nursing.
- Contribute to the nursing assessment of the patient.
- Document accurate and factual information on all records.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff.
- Exercise sound clinical judgment and critical thinking in all aspects of the nursing process.
- Develop and implement creative solutions to problems.
- Participate in the development, documentation, validation, and revision of the plan of care for assigned patients.
- Respond to patient and non-patient emergencies according to hospital policies and procedures.
- Work cooperatively with co-workers as a team.
- Seek resources for direction when necessary.
- Support the mission, vision, and values of the hospital and department.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LPN license in the State of Alabama.
- Minimum two years of hospital LPN experience for medical/surgical services or one year of psychiatric nursing experience for behavioral health services.
- Current ACLS certification.
- Successful completion of institutional basic EKG course.
- Annual completion of competency requirements.
- CPR certification.
