Key Responsibilities:- Accurately and efficiently assist pharmacists in filling and dispensing prescription medications.
- Process prescription orders, including entering patient information, prescription details, and insurance billing information into the pharmacy computer system.
- Prepare medication orders for dispensing, including counting, measuring, and packaging medications according to prescription orders.
- Maintain pharmacy inventory, including restocking shelves, rotating stock, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and ensuring a positive pharmacy experience.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy workspace, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work areas.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as answering phones, processing payments, and filing prescription records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred.
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) is a plus but not required.
- Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including experience with pharmacy management software.
- Commitment to providing exceptional customer service and promoting patient safety.
