Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:15 AM - 5:00 PM, with no on-call or holiday shifts.

YOUR IMPACT:
As a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant, you will play a crucial role in delivering compassionate care as part of a multidisciplinary team. Your responsibilities will include providing home-based therapeutic services as directed by the supervising physician, while adhering to the treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist. You will engage with patients and their families, supporting them throughout their recovery journey.

YOUR ROLE:
You will deliver skilled therapeutic services as prescribed by the attending physician, ensuring patient safety and educating both patients and their families. Accurate documentation and compliance with all relevant regulations are essential components of your role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan of Care: Deliver skilled rehabilitation therapy as directed, monitoring patient conditions and reporting any changes to the Occupational Therapist.
  • Risk Management: Assess functional challenges and implement interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Family Support: Educate patients and their families on managing conditions and the proper use of therapeutic equipment.
  • Documentation: Complete all clinical records in accordance with agency protocols and regulatory guidelines.
  • Policy Adherence: Understand and comply with agency policies and communicate any scheduling changes promptly.
  • Training: Participate in mandatory training sessions and agency meetings.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Effective communication with a compassionate approach.
  • Patience and understanding when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Current license as a Rehabilitation Therapy Assistant.
  • At least one year of experience in a therapeutic setting; home care experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and personal auto insurance.
  • Ability to meet all physical demands of the role.
