Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team at LyondellBasell. The successful candidate will be responsible for the reliability, maintenance, and operation of our electrical distribution system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and expertise to ensure the electrical system is maintained per industry and corporate standards
  • Assist E&I supervisors, specialists, technicians, planners, and engineers in troubleshooting issues and problems
  • Maintain, optimize, and implement preventive maintenance programs and special emphasis programs for the electrical distribution system
  • Participate on capital project teams by assisting with the development of design and installation specifications, commissioning plans, evaluation of equipment and providers, develop acceptance tests, and inspection plans
  • Ensure proper project close-out by updating equipment lists, SOPs, spare parts, and filing of final project documents
  • Lead or participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technology, assessing applicability to improve reliability and performance, or to reduce maintenance cost
  • Systematically define, develop, maintain, and implement the site electrical long-range plan
  • Participate on plant and company-wide teams that develop strategic plans for reliability performance improvement and lead site implementation
  • Support unit outages and site turnarounds
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering is required
  • A minimum of 10+ years of industrial experience in petrochemical/refining industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge in the field of electrical design, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment, and safe electrical work practices
  • Working knowledge of industry codes such as applicable ANSI/IEEE, API, NFPA, IEC
  • Experience in electrical system studies using SKM Power Tools software or equivalent, including Arc Flash Studies and Arc Flash mitigation techniques
  • Strong communication skills, rapport building, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills are critical
