JOB TITLE: Senior Project Architect

JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Project Architect is a licensed professional responsible for shaping the design vision of projects and ensuring the production of comprehensive, precise, and well-integrated documentation. Under the guidance of the Project Manager, the Senior Project Architect will interpret, organize, execute, and coordinate intricate projects and/or multiple assignments concurrently. This role requires expertise in Food and Beverage design, collaborating with the design team to advance projects from initial concept through to final execution.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Oversee and guide the Project Team.
  • Maintain client relationships; keep the Project Manager informed on project status.
  • Direct and manage consultants as necessary.
  • Comply with both The Johnson Studio and client standards while meeting deadlines and budget constraints for each project.
  • Plan and develop architectural initiatives.
  • Engage with clients and contractors to clarify contract documents.
  • Make informed design and documentation decisions with discretion and sound judgment.
  • Support proposal and marketing initiatives.
  • Possess a strong understanding of building codes and industry standards.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of all project-related tasks.
  • Assist the Project Manager in defining project budgets and program development.
  • Lead a team to deliver a complete set of project documents and selections that align with design intent and client expectations, on schedule and within budget.
  • Stay informed about The Johnson Studio projects and resources.
  • Maintain state registration and professional affiliations.
  • Collaborate with other teams as needed to achieve project goals.
  • Contribute to the overall quality and success of the project, studio, and firm.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Registered/Licensed Architect.
  • Graduate of an accredited architectural program with a Bachelor's or Master's degree.
  • 5+ years of industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems and documentation.
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality, complete sets of drawings for complex projects.
  • Proficiency in necessary software to complete the project.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Strong presentation capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of professionals and consultants to achieve project objectives.
  • Competency in all aspects of design and documentation.
  • Proven conceptual design skills.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position may directly supervise Architects. Responsibilities involving subordinates include: training, planning, assigning and directing work; evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and assisting in problem resolution.
