Reports To: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Generate monthly financial statements for each entity, ensuring accuracy and completeness for the CFO's review.
  • Financial Analysis: Perform variance analysis and financial modeling to identify trends, evaluate property performance, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Aid in the creation and management of budgets and forecasts, offering insights and recommendations to enhance financial outcomes.
  • Process Optimization: Discover opportunities to refine accounting processes, boost efficiency, and strengthen internal controls within the property accounting sector.
  • Operational Management: Oversee daily operational tasks, including:
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Manage accounts payable and receivable functions for each entity, including vendor invoicing, customer billing, and collections, ensuring timely payments and reconciliations.
  • Conduct monthly bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
  • Supervise the management of overdue invoices, ensuring Account Managers reach out to responsible parties as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Business or Accounting is preferred, although relevant experience in a construction setting may be considered. CPA certification is advantageous.
  • A minimum of five years of practical accounting experience is required.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple companies within the corporate structure.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail, with the capability to interpret financial data effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration across various departments.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, preferably QuickBooks Desktop and Yardi.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling sensitive information.
