Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to any level of incident or emergency around the facility, maintaining YMCA standards.
  • Enforce pool rules and regulations to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and engage with members to promote a positive experience.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a clean and organized pool area.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on the latest water safety techniques and protocols.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current Lifeguarding certification (CPR/AED and First Aid) or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
