Job Summary

The Banquet Cook is responsible for preparing food as directed by the Executive Chef and Banquet Sous Chef. This role requires a high level of professionalism, excellent verbal communication skills, and strong teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of ala carte, line cooking experience in a high-volume environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet with the Banquet Sous Chef or Executive Chef to go over daily production.
  • Participate in shift line-ups to accomplish common goals.
  • Comply with the standards of the kitchen to include consistency in quality and portion control.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of F&B back-of-house areas and outside storage.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of one year of ala carte, line cooking experience in a high-volume environment.
  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • Ability to lift at least forty (40) pounds.
  • Ability to perform activities such as bending, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, pushing, lifting, and grasping.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
