About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Enterprise Applications Architect to join our team at T. Rowe Price. This individual will be responsible for the overall application architecture strategy, design, and implementation within the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Strategic Planning and Development: Develop and maintain the enterprise application architecture strategy and roadmap, aligning application architecture with the organization's business goals and IT strategy.
  • Architecture Design and Implementation: Lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and reliable application solutions, ensuring all applications adhere to enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and mentor a team of architects and developers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment with channel solution architecture teams.
  • Governance and Compliance: Establish and enforce application architecture policies, standards, and guidelines, ensuring all application solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives in application architecture, including performance tuning, optimization, and modernization efforts.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a senior Enterprise architecture role.
  • Technical Skills: Deep understanding of application architecture principles, patterns, and best practices, experience with a variety of application development technologies and frameworks, and proficiency in multi-cloud platforms.
  • Leadership and Soft Skills: Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, guide teams and develop global teams, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • TOGAF 9 Enterprise Architecture Practitioner certification.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools.
  • Knowledge of data architecture and governance.
Work Environment

This role is eligible for remote work up to three days a week.
