Hot Stamp Technician

Shiloh Industries is seeking a skilled Hot Stamp Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of our hot stamping lines, maintaining world-class quality and productivity standards, and supporting our TPM Program.

• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all equipment and work areas are cleaned daily and free of safety hazards. Operate all machinery according to established safety guidelines and wear required PPE at all times.
• 5S Philosophy: Actively participate, practice, and improve upon the 5S philosophy (Sort, Sequence, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain) to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.
• Hot Stamping Operations: Set-up and operation of hot stamping lines as required, including setting of dies, press operation, fault recovery, transfer, and robot adjustments to achieve world-class quality and throughput.
• Quality Control: Ensure quality inspections (including incoming material) and submit product samples to the QC department at defined frequencies for destructive testing, initializing the General Reaction Plan for Nonconforming Material as required.
• Production Monitoring: Operate/monitor the hot stamp line according to approved operating parameters and procedures, making parameter adjustments as required to maintain world-class quality and productivity standards.
• TPM Program Support: Support daily TPM Program as defined by approved operating procedures, and have a general understanding of machine functions to perform necessary process audit procedures.
• Spare Parts Preparation: Prepare spare parts for TPM/PM activities as necessary.
• PM Event Participation: Participate in periodic PM events as they occur.
• Tooling and Machine Maintenance: Recognize, troubleshoot, and correct defective tooling and machine malfunctions, referring complicated problems needing assistance to Setters and proper support personnel.
• Maintenance and Automation Support: Support Maintenance, Automation, and Toolroom in repairing and/or cleaning of tooling and machines, completing downtime, scrap, and productivity reporting on a shift-by-shift basis.
• Product Traceability: Maintain product traceability from the time raw material is received through final inspection.
• Inventory Management: Navigate and utilize the company software to properly route material through the plant and maintain accurate inventory.
• Repair Work Orders: Initiate repair work orders for support groups as needed.

• Education: High school diploma with additional technical training preferred.
• Troubleshooting Skills: Basic trouble-shooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Flexibility and adaptability required.
• Overtime: Ability to work overtime.
• Supervision: Capable of working with minimal supervision.
• Hand Tools: Basic hand tools required.
• Experience: One year technical experience preferred.
