Dental Care Specialist

At The Floating Hospital, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Dentist to join our team. As a Dentist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality dental care to our patients, including children, adolescents, and adults.
Responsibilities:- Perform general dentistry, including screenings, evaluations, and treatments.
- Diagnose and treat dental diseases, including cavities, gum disease, and oral cancer.
- Fill cavities, perform prophylaxis, and apply sealants and stainless crowns.
- Screen for oral cancer and take and interpret periapical X-rays.
- Make referrals for treatment not provided at The Floating Hospital and for specialty consultations.
- Assist in and encourage patients to attend follow-up visits.
- Use diagnostic data to make treatment decisions and monitor the dental inventory.
- Oversee general maintenance of dental equipment and maintain proper aseptic protocols.
- Supervise dental assistants and participate in case conferences.
- Assist in the development and implementation of dental quality improvement procedures.
- Prepare and make presentations to staff on dental topics.
We are seeking a Dentist with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from an accredited institution, a New York State license, and New York State registration. A minimum of two years' experience in pediatric and adolescent dentistry is required. The ability to speak Spanish or other languages is a plus.
The salary for this position is $140,000 annually.
