We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team in the Perioperative department at AdventHealth La Grange. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring a smooth transition from surgery to recovery.
Key Responsibilities- Provides direct nursing care to patients in the PACU, implementing and monitoring patient care plans in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care, assessing and coordinating patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
- Notes and carries out physician and nursing orders, ensuring accurate and timely communication of patient condition.
- Assesses and coordinates patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team, ensuring a seamless transition from hospital to home.
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required; BSN strongly preferred or currently enrolled in BSN Program; must be willing to obtain BSN within 3 years from date of hire.
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Previous PACU or Critical Care experience strongly preferred.
