Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and source production and prototype materials, including mechanical components, assemblies, and outsourced assemblies.
- Manage the procurement of non-production supplies and services.
- Oversee the daily release of purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up for production items, non-production supplies, and capital expenditures.
- Develop and maintain supplier relationships through strategic selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
- Address and resolve issues related to assigned commodities, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery to enhance customer satisfaction.
- Support cross-functional project management initiatives aimed at improving supply chain performance metrics.
- Stay informed about market trends and their impact on purchased components.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or planning within manufacturing, medical devices, or metal industries is preferred.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical mindset, ready to tackle challenges.
- Ability to interpret and analyze technical documents.
- CPIM, APICS, or CSCP certification is preferred.
