Key Responsibilities:
  • Identify and source production and prototype materials, including mechanical components, assemblies, and outsourced assemblies.
  • Manage the procurement of non-production supplies and services.
  • Oversee the daily release of purchase orders and ensure timely follow-up for production items, non-production supplies, and capital expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain supplier relationships through strategic selection, contract negotiations, and performance evaluations.
  • Address and resolve issues related to assigned commodities, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Support cross-functional project management initiatives aimed at improving supply chain performance metrics.
  • Stay informed about market trends and their impact on purchased components.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or planning within manufacturing, medical devices, or metal industries is preferred.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration across departments.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and analytical mindset, ready to tackle challenges.
  • Ability to interpret and analyze technical documents.
  • CPIM, APICS, or CSCP certification is preferred.
