Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team at Mercy. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and promoting a culture of excellence and compassion.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and developing and implementing individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, including data collection, analysis, and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical practices, technologies, and research to provide the highest level of care.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of hire and/or compact licensure.
  • Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
