Job Title: Server Assistant

Job Summary:
As a Server Assistant at Dave & Buster's, you will play a vital role in delivering an unparalleled Guest experience. You will assist Servers with refills, pre-bussing tables, and helping with table turns, ensuring the dining areas are spotlessly clean. You will also assist with aspects of service, such as greeting Guests and running food and drink orders. Your dedication to delivering the highest standards in safety and sanitation will be essential in maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for our Guests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional Guest service by assisting Servers with refills, pre-bussing tables, and helping with table turns.
  • Assist with aspects of service, such as greeting Guests and running food and drink orders.
  • Maintain a clean and welcoming environment by adhering to company sanitation procedures.
  • Follow alcohol awareness procedures for preventing intoxication and dealing with intoxicated Guests.
  • Assess Guest demeanor and identify when behavior should be called to the attention of a Manager.
  • Ensure food is properly garnished and deliver trays to designated tables, as well as other sections in the restaurant, as needed.
  • Follow all tray procedures to minimize loss and ensure food is delivered timely and correctly.
  • Offer assistance to Guests by clearing away dishes and glassware, and refilling beverages.
  • Restock and prepare supplies for shift change and or close.
  • Support Servers with greeting newly seated Guests in a friendly and timely manner, when necessary.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of all menu items and be able to answer questions regarding food and drink items and their preparation.
  • Work quickly and efficiently, adhering to the "Full hands in, Full hands out" philosophy.
  • Assist other Team Members as needed or as business dictates.
  • Keep station clean, set up and take down station tables appropriately.
  • Buss and reset tables as needed.
  • Assist in party set up and breakdown.
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other company Team Members to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate and help keep high morale, productivity and efficiency/effectiveness.
  • Must be skilled in effectively communicating with Guests in order to generate enthusiasm about the D&B experience.
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English.
  • Listen to hear Guests' orders and needs, and then communicate with Guests verbally and with other Team Members.
  • Dressed in proper dress code requirements, looking neat, clean and professional at all times.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
Requirements:

Physical Demands:
  • Work days, nights and/or weekends as required.
  • Work in noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions.
  • Read and write handwritten notes.
  • Lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Move about facility and stand for long periods of time.
  • Walk or stand 100% of shift.
  • Reach, bend and stoop frequently.
