Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Ophthalmic Technician to join our team at Florida Medical Clinic. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our doctors in the diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist doctors in patient care, including visual acuity testing, lensometry, and refractions
  • Perform diagnostic studies and treatments as ordered by providers, including Ascans, Visual Fields, and OCT
  • Maintain medical equipment, ensuring it is calibrated, cleaned, sterilized, charged, and covered
  • Handle patient and clinical messages
  • Perform incidental duties as needed

Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Certification as an Ophthalmic Assistant or Technician preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Strong team player
  • Basic computer proficiency
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar role required
