POSITION SUMMARY

Welcome customers as they enter the store, assist them in finding products, and answer inquiries about available items. Organize merchandise in an attractive and orderly fashion. Replenish stock as needed, monitor expiration dates, and remove any expired products. Maintain a tidy storeroom. Process customer transactions, handle various payment methods, and manage returns, refunds, and exchanges. Verify customer identification when necessary. Ensure cash drawer is adequately stocked, submit all cash and receipts, and confirm deposits are accurate. Adhere to the opening and closing procedures for the store. Safeguard the store and observe customer behavior to deter theft and damage.

Report any incidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management. Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional; maintain confidentiality of sensitive information; protect company resources. Greet and acknowledge all guests in line with company standards; anticipate and respond to guest service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; express gratitude to guests sincerely. Communicate with others using clear and professional language; answer phone calls with proper etiquette. Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Engage in physical activities such as reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping; lift or carry items weighing up to 10 pounds; stand, sit, or walk for extended periods. Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by Supervisors.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.

Related Work Experience: No prior experience required.

Supervisory Experience: Not applicable.

License or Certification: None required.
