Position: Echocardiography Technician

Franciscan Health, a prominent Catholic healthcare organization in the Midwest, is committed to delivering empathetic care to patients and communities. We are currently in search of an Echocardiography Technician to enhance our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Sanitation: Responsible for cleaning and testing diagnostic tools in accordance with infection control standards.
  • Emergency Protocols: Responds to urgent callbacks within specified time limits.
  • Instrument Oversight: Ensures proper functioning of equipment, addresses minor issues, and performs necessary calibrations.
  • Quality Enhancement: Engages in ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
  • Patient Diagnostics: Executes echocardiograms per established protocols, capturing essential views for accurate diagnostic evaluations.
  • Documentation: Prepares initial reports in the reporting systems ahead of physician assessment.
  • Safety Assurance: Guarantees patient safety throughout testing processes.
  • Measurement Recording: Accurately logs required measurements.
  • Stress Testing: Conducts stress echocardiograms effectively, ensuring timely acquisition of post-exercise images.
Required Qualifications:
  • Preferred: Associate's Degree
  • Mandatory: High School Diploma or GED
  • Preferred: Graduate from an accredited echocardiography program with clinical experience
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience as an echo sonographer
  • Certification: Must possess Diagnostic Medical Sonography (DMEDSON), Registry for Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographers (RDCS), or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI)
Compensation and Benefits:
