Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Float Position

Planned Parenthood Los Angeles is seeking highly skilled full-time Nurse Practitioners, Physician Assistants, or Certified Nurse Midwives with great communication skills, clinical skills, and a strong emphasis on excellent customer service to see our increasing, diverse patient population.
The full-time Clinician Float will join the Patient Services team and provide quality patient care, including examinations, diagnosis, treatment, education, counseling, and serving as a medical resource for other licensed and non-licensed staff.
Key responsibilities include performing physical exams for both males and females, with a special emphasis on the reproductive system, including breast examinations, pelvic examinations, male genital exams, cancer screening tests, diagnosis of sexually transmitted infections, Mid-Life Services counseling, examinations, and other types of more specialized procedures as indicated by medical policy.
Our ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: a current CA Nurse Practitioner, Physician Assistant, or Certified Nurse Midwife license, current furnishing license, current BLS & ACLS certification, willingness to work out of our 2 health centers in the Mid-Los Angeles region, and a Master's/Graduate degree.
Additional responsibilities include providing family planning, nutrition, sexual counseling, and principles of health promotion and maintenance to women and men, as well as serving as a resource for medical and surgical abortion services.
