Position Overview:

The Reservations Specialist is a vital member of our team, dedicated to providing exceptional service in a dynamic sales and customer support environment. This role involves efficiently matching and securing lodging and resort services for guests prior to their arrival.

The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of all Tamarack offerings, including discounts and promotional packages, ensuring guests receive the best options for their stay. Responsibilities include assisting with accommodations, lift tickets, seasonal passes, rental gear, lessons, spa treatments, guided services, and dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outstanding service in line with Tamarack Resort's standards to guests, homeowners, and colleagues.
  • Manage inbound communications via phone, email, and chat, while also reaching out to previous guests to support their vacation planning.
  • Stay informed about all Tamarack products, events, discounts, and promotional initiatives.
  • Act as a sales representative, aligning guest needs with appropriate offerings and promoting additional services whenever possible.
  • Achieve productivity and quality benchmarks by ensuring accurate and error-free reservations.
  • Utilize all sales functionalities of the Tamarack Resort point of sale and booking systems proficiently.
  • Maintain punctuality for scheduled shifts, including weekends and holidays, while ensuring minimal call abandonment.
  • Address guest inquiries and requests across various communication channels, resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Conduct quality control on bookings made through phone and online channels.
  • Complete necessary closing procedures at the end of each shift.
  • Provide guests with up-to-date information on lift operations, weather conditions, and upcoming mountain events.
  • Assist with special projects and undertake additional duties as assigned.
  • Foster enjoyable interactions and build professional relationships with Tamarack Resort guests.

Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential duties effectively. The following qualifications are essential:

  • A genuine enjoyment of engaging with guests and fellow team members.
  • Prior experience in sales and customer service is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Property Management Systems and Point-of-Sale systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage confidential information responsibly.
  • Strong multitasking skills while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving capabilities with a focus on achieving guest satisfaction.
  • Minimum age requirement of 16 years.
