Nuclear Medicine Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a crucial role in preparing radiopharmaceutical agents and administering them to patients prior to using a scanner or camera to capture images.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare radiopharmaceutical agents for administration to patients
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals to patients under the direct supervision of a radiologist
  • Operate the scanner or gamma scintillation camera to capture images
  • Provide technical support to physicians and researchers
  • Maintain accurate patient records
  • Ensure a safe environment for patients and staff by following safety and radiation disposal procedures
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
  • ARRT (N) National Certification with registration in Nuclear Medicine or NMTCB-CNMT
  • State-specific licensing when required
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to bend, lean, or stoop without difficulty
