We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Rehabilitation Therapist to join our team at Children's Health (Dallas). As a key member of our Grapevine Therapy Services department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Language Pathology teams.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with Patient Treatment: Provide support to therapists during patient treatment sessions, including focusing patient participation, exercise motivation, and physical movement/transportation of patients.
- Prepare Therapy Areas: Ensure therapy areas are prepared and cleaned before and after treatment sessions, including disposing of used linens and maintaining a safe and clean environment.
- Coordinate Schedules: Prioritize and coordinate your own schedule to meet the demands of patient treatment and other departmental responsibilities, including ordering supplies and advising supervisors of needs.
- Assist with Special Services: Assist with special services such as wound care, video fluoroscopic swallow studies, casting, and splinting, including physical setup, patient movement/transportation, and cleaning up after treatment.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: At least 1 year of job-related experience preferred.
- Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification required.
