Parts Specialist

iSoftTek Solutions Inc is seeking a skilled Parts Specialist to join our Marine Parts Department team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting our customers with their parts inquiries, researching and providing estimates, and ensuring timely order fulfillment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, and in-person interactions, ensuring accurate and timely responses to parts inquiries.
- Research and provide estimates for parts, utilizing electronic and paper catalogs to identify required components.
- Input orders into internal and external systems, verifying all information for accuracy.
- Maintain a detailed understanding of technical information, including online research tools across all product lines.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient order processing and timely delivery.
- Make informed parts recommendations to customers based on technical knowledge and gathered information.
- Multi-task and prioritize demands of the job in a fast-paced environment, ensuring an efficiently operating customer service department.
- Collect and process accurate customer order information, including payment methods, in support of order processing.
- Process internal product price and availability requests from the service department.
- Conduct research for PORM, past due PO, and tendering transactions, suggesting corrections as needed.
- Maintain and update the Active Log application throughout the day.
- Monitor backorders daily, ensuring prompt receipt and distribution of orders.
- Support warehouse functions, including pulling urgent request stock items and assisting with warehouse cycle counts as needed.
- Attend training sessions as assigned by management and proactively seek to increase skillset to maintain proficiency in job description.
- Perform on-call duties on a rotating schedule.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- 2+ years of parts experience (preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, Outlook, and online vendor tools and order process systems
