Our interdisciplinary team is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and enthusiastic professional to enhance our services. We aim to deliver exceptional care to our clients and their families at a reasonable cost. We are currently in the process of creating a highly accessible and inviting environment for our students.

Utilizing the latest advancements in technology and research, LifeLab Kids will feature a gym equipped with adaptive tools, a rock climbing wall, an art studio, a music room, a virtual reality space, and a life skills/feeding kitchen.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in consultation and collaboration with clients, families, caregivers, medical professionals, and other LifeLab Kids staff regarding speech and language development.
  • Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions.
  • Design and implement treatment and therapy programs tailored for children.
  • Administer speech therapy interventions in accordance with established treatment plans.
  • Educate caregivers and family members on home-based programs.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
  • Provide treatment both in-person and via telehealth to ensure effective client care.
  • Meet productivity expectations set by management annually.
  • Communicate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including leaders in occupational therapy, music therapy, art therapy, technology, and life skills.
  • Facilitate multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary treatment approaches.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment.
  • Complete evaluations, re-evaluations, progress notes, treatment notes, and discharge/home programs promptly.

Recommend suitable multi-modal communication strategies (verbal, sign language, and/or AAC devices).


  • Continuously seek ways to enhance the values and mission of LifeLab Kids to optimize effective communication for children.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
  • ASHA Clinical Certificate of Competency.
  • Completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in a clinical setting with pediatric populations (including fellowship year).
  • Current Michigan License as a Speech and Language Pathologist.
