About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeping Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote sustainability within dining operations by implementing and maintaining food pulping procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize cooking utensils and equipment, and restock washed items in their designated areas.
  • Assist with putting away delivered products according to established guidelines and maintain overall kitchen cleanliness.
  • Return items to their proper storage locations and maintain housekeeping/storage closets, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Utilize chemicals and supplies in a safe and prescribed manner.
  • Operate and maintain power equipment, including carpet vacuums, canister and tank vacuums, wide-area vacuums, backpack vacuums, spot cleaning machines, and other powered equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED or Vocational School Diploma.
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
  • One year of job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Current ServSafe Certification.
Working Conditions

This is a non-supervisory position that does not have any financial responsibilities. The position will not require driving, and the role is not considered a position of trust. The position does not require a purchasing card (P-Card) and will not travel. The position does not require security clearance.
